these would be for a front yard landscaping project and would receive full sun all day. I have tried box-woods and had 2 die last summer, they will act as a border but cannot be to tall in height, or get to large around...I am looking for something small, decorative and hearty. Hello. I am wanting to create a hedge that is from a variety of british native trees preferably, but i do not really want to be trimming them as i prefer to spend my time on the veg patch. I would like shrubs/trees that reach around 1m or so in height. Are there any such species? If not, are there any non-native species that still appeal to a variety of native birds and insects. They must also be non-poisonous and able to grow in the midlands. Thanks
